Sao Do Group launches medical facility to enhance worker healthcare and safety
Sao Do Group has established a state-of-the-art medical facility at Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park (IP) in Haiphong, northern Vietnam, aimed at improving worker healthcare and safety. The facility, opened on November 5 in partnership with the Vietnam-Czechoslovakia Friendship Hospital, will provide on-site medical services for the park’s workforce of around 5,000, expected to grow to 10,000–12,000 employees.
Nguyen Thanh Phuong, general director of Sao Do Group, highlighted that the medical facility is a strategic component of the industrial park’s ecosystem, complementing technical infrastructure and amenities while supporting employee welfare. The facility provides rapid medical response, first aid, occupational accident treatment, and routine health checks, aligning with Ministry of Health regulations to ensure quality and safety standards.
Managed by the Vietnam-Czechoslovakia Friendship Hospital, the facility is staffed with doctors, nurses, and medical personnel equipped with modern medical devices. It aims to minimise travel time for workers seeking care, ensure prompt treatment in emergencies, and reduce risks associated with industrial environments. Health consultations and on-site medical training for staff will further support operational safety and wellbeing.
Deputy head of Haiphong Economic Zones Management Authority (HEZA), Nguyen Thi Thuy Hang, noted that industrial parks are required to provide essential services such as medical centres, housing, and schools.
Sao Do Group emphasised that the facility reflects their commitment to social responsibility, sustainable development, and creating an eco-industrial park standard that prioritises health, safety, and humane working conditions.
The medical facility is now fully operational, offering comprehensive health coverage and emergency care to workers, reinforcing Haiphong’s approach to industrial workforce welfare.
