Glanua’s Áine Healy wins Health & Safety Manager of the Year at Health and Safety Excellence Awards 2025

Revisiting one of this year’s standout success stories, Áine Healy, Group HSQE and Sustainability Director at Glanua, has been honoured as Health & Safety Manager of the Year at Health and Safety Excellence Awards 2025.

Starting her journey with Glanua as an intern, Áine’s dedication and passion for creating safer workplaces propelled her to become the company’s first female member of the Senior Leadership Team in 2019. Under her direction, Glanua has fostered a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and care for employee wellbeing.

Judges praised Áine’s “outstanding contributions to her peers, community, and business through well-integrated safety initiatives" and recognised her outstanding leadership and two-decade commitment to safety in the construction industry.

Her innovative use of QR codes for quick access to critical information was highlighted as a practical and forward-thinking solution. The panel also commended her work in promoting wellbeing and safety awareness among schoolchildren, a testament to her broader social impact.
